Windows 10 introduced Action Centre, a panel positioned to the side of the display which aggregates all the notifications your system makes so you can deal with them all at once.

It\’s a handy feature but it can also become clogged with notifications quickly if they\’re not frequently addressed. Notifications can vary from the incredibly important systems messages to miscellaneous social media of software updates. There is, however, a way to filter out the messages you have no interest in. We\’d recommend confining guests to a guest wireless network, configuring your own devices not to use Wi-Fi Sense, and asking staff to do the same before allowing their Windows 10 devices onto the main wireless network.

Safe Mode can be a life-saver in many system-critical problem situations, especially when your device is finding it difficult to start correctly. What you can try is to boot into Windows first, and then restart the device by pressing the left Shift key. If you ever want to get rid of the Safe Mode entry, you can do it easily by returning here and deleting it. To turn this on, it must be enabled manually using Control Panel.

To set the current state of focus assist, select Off receive all notifications , Priority only see only notifications from a list you can customize to your liking , or Alarms Only hide everything except alarms.

Under Automatic rules , you can determine the conditions that cause focus assist to activate automatically. To completely deactivate focus assist, turn all of these off. Select Show me a summary of what I missed while focus assist was on to be sent a notification when you exit from focus assist about what was redirected to Action Center. Deselect this to deactivate this notification. When focus assist turns on automatically, by default a notification appears in the action center explaining that focus assist is on and suppressing notifications.

Select Expand to view all Quick Action buttons. Locate the Quiet Hours button and click or tap on it to enable it. When the Quiet Hours feature is enabled, its Quick Action button will be highlighted like in the above screenshot and the notifications icon will have a small sign on it, like this:.

In reply to CmdrKeene\’s post on September 25, I have no idea, I have never used it. Win 10 imposed it on me I have no use for it. So, for example, you might set the EntryTime value to for am minutes after midnight and the ExitTime Value to for am. You can now close Registry Editor. The new Quiet Hours start and end times should be in effect from now on. To reverse the change, just follow the same steps and delete the QuietHours key you made, which will also delete the two values you created in that key.

So, for example, we might set minutes so that Quiet Hours ends at am. After configuring both settings, you can exit Local Group Policy Editor. Changes are immediate, so no need to restart Windows.
