Studio 18 has given me nothing but issues. After most exports, the audio gets clipped or even stutters which has become annoying.

There\’s also an issue where my video file, during export, keeps cropping? Like it can\’t decide between x and x, and just ends up continuously changing between the two through the video. Not sure what that\’s about. Maybe one of my installation files are just messed up?

I\’ve tried re-installing a few times, but it didn\’t help. Pinnacle\’s support system was never a problem for me, as I\’ve never needed it since I\’ve been with \’em. But now? This thing is just a mess. I tried this last Sunday and had problems when I started importing my video. Seeing it on the preview screen worked great but when I started the import the picture and sound would periodically freeze and loose sound.

I emailed the manufacturer that day and in that process I had to supply them with a support code which was supposed to have been furnished when I registered the product. I didn\’t get one. I then sent an email requesting one. I contacted them Monday to get the code and was supplied one. I then sent an email addressing my issue. The next day I received an email stating they needed some additional information from me. I sent that back immediately. After not hearing back from them I called yesterday and the gentleman said he was going to expedite my request.

Well here it is Friday and still no help. All that to say I think once I get the problem solved the software will be great. There are a lot of features. I gave it two stars because of the tech support. It sucks!!!! One person found this helpful. I have upgraded my Pinnacle Studio software since originally purchasing Version 9. There have been learning curves with each upgrade, but reasonable one. This latest version is another thing altogether.

I have no real sense of whether the program works well or not because the one thing I can say is that the new controls and interface are crap. It is a whole new program to learn. Nothing remains familiar or even intuitive. I have to look up how to use everything and spend too much time doing this. I finally went back to my older V 15 just because this was too hard to learn and I didn\’t buy it to learn a new program, I bought it hoping I could get new features in a familiar OS.

Not so. If you are considering upgrading from previous versions, don\’t bother. If you need to upgrade, shop around. You may find other editing software that is easier to use. Really buggy product. Installed and launched 10 times, always crashes with \”NGStudio has stopped working\”. Went to Pinnacle support site, and downloaded and installed patch Still always crashes. Searched for support site for solution, followed the instruction to cleaned up a directory, still always crashes. I contacted with Pinnacle customer support, but they are not helpful.

Here is the email from them regarding the problem: Thank you for contacting Corel Customer Support and for the additional information that you have provided. We are very sorry for this inconvenience but unfortunately your system did not meet our minimum requirements for studio software. It should have at least to mb of dedicated memory while your system has 0 mb that is why we have encountered problems with it. Bastantes veces me resuelve mis necesidades.

Translate review to English. I downloaded the installer from the Pinnacle website as my computer does not have a CD drive. To my utter dismay, the Transitions are not available. I have not yet checked about the other claimed features. My advise avoid this purchase. Spend more money and get a better video editor that provides all the claimed features. At first I was a little disconcerted that any new videos I had uploaded did not automatically start appearing when I opened Pinnacle Studio 20 Ultimate; but then, I realized that I now had a choice as to whether or not I wanted a certain scene to be automatically added.

So now, I really like this feature and am very glad I purchased the 20 Ultimate. However there is still one item I don\’t like and that is Pinnacle Studio Ultimate 22, which appears very time I open 20, keeps bugging me for an upgrade. Report abuse.
